It gives a very nice experience when finger-picked. But you will have to go deep into the bass strings to match the output of the treble strings. The inactive pickup is very pleasant. As a matter of fact, the instrument is very stable acoustically. Some feel the void of preamp onboard, but the fresh lines of this acoustic guitar are not upset by the plastic piece of technology.
