Design

The Martin Custom D Classic Mahogany is a strictly acoustic dreadnought sized guitar. With A-frame bracing design Martin Guitars have a solid Sitka spruce top. For the back and sides, Solid mahogany is the usage. This makes it a light guitar. A guitar is of 25-2/5” scale length. With a mortise and tenon neck joint, mahogany neckline joins to the body. Indian rosewood fingerboard is to top the guitar which has a 16” radius. Out of the total of 20 frets, 14 of them have clear access. The white Corian nut has a width of 1-11/16”.

The adaptable truss rod is reachable through the soundhole. For the bridge and headplate, Indian rosewood is the usage. Over the elevated gold foil decal, headstock has the Martin name. A single ring inlay rosette embellishes the top of the guitar. It has a nice satin finish.

For the top’s binding as well as the pickguard, Faux tortoise is the usage. The tortoise binding is certainly eye-catching. and is the most obvious aesthetic highlight of the Martin Guitars.
